Messages Reveal the late financier and former Trump strategist Relationship

In November 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly Donald Trump's chief strategist, was in the UK preparing for a speech at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The speech was interrupted by numerous demonstrators, and Bannon, who was due to board a flight that night, told Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Protesters delayed my talk I doubt I can catch the plane we are heading to heathrow".

Epstein responded: "There. Is a gulf air departing at 9:50 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "U r an amazing assistant".

These exchanges were released on Wednesday together with more than 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the deceased financier convicted of sex crimes.

The disclosure by the Congressional committee contains an text conversation where Bannon's name is redacted. The BBC managed to confirm his involvement by matching the dates, occurrences, and locations referenced.

For instance, Epstein talks about arranging a plane from the UK for the unnamed individual in the messages, and offers praise their "Oxford speech". Bannon took part in the Edinburgh conference on November 14, and delivered the talk at the Oxford Union on November 16.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any misconduct, declined to comment on the request for comment.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon served as the president's closest advisers in the lead-up to the 2016 election and during the initial phase of his presidency, but stepped down from the administration in August 2017.

He has acknowledged he was producing a film about Epstein before his passing and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of footage. In a live taping of his podcast recently, he stated: "We're going to release the film, the five-part series, in the coming year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed materials suggest Bannon's relationship with Epstein extended than documenting his life, with the convicted paedophile occasionally appearing to serve like a personal assistant.

A few days before the conversation in which Epstein appeared to have booked a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "what's it like to have the highest-paid booking agent in the world ".

Bannon thanked him: "U r quite capable asst", to which Epstein responded "Massages. Excluded".

Discussing a trip to "AD" in a separate text, Epstein told Bannon: "I will ensure you're well looked after."

British Affairs Discussed in Messages

The published communications also reveal Bannon and Epstein discussing British political matters in that year.

Earlier on the same day his speech at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit thing this day with Nigel, Boris and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a reference to the UK prime minister, the embattled British leader at the period, he added: "They are trying to move on. may soon…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "In my view remaining as long as you can uk. Ideal- so others get the dedication of your follow-up."

Shortly after, Epstein inquired: "Can Theresa may remain in power". Bannon replied: "It seems unlikely however the people here have little courage" and noted "Boris ; Michael Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; David Davis - someone has to take charge".

May was finally toppled in 2019 after surviving two votes of lack of support in December 2018.

A spokesman for Reform UK informed the BBC: "Farage has not been in a meeting with Steve Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest such a meeting took place.

The US House of Representatives will decide next week on whether the justice department should make public all its records related to its investigation into Epstein, who died in prison in 2019.

Interest in Epstein's relationships with influential individuals was reignited this week after the publication of over 20,000 documents from his archives.

A portion of those mentioned the former president, who has repeatedly rejected any impropriety. The leader was a friend of Epstein's for a long time, but says they parted ways in the early 2000s, two years before Epstein was initially charged.
