Jurgen Klopp states coming back to coach Liverpool is theoretically possible.

The German coach, who left Liverpool in 2024, indicated that rejoining the club remains a possibility. Klopp, after a transformative nine-season tenure which brought a European Cup triumph and ending the club's long wait since 1990, now holds positions in a global football capacity with the Red Bull group and in an advisory capacity to Germany's league body.

Fan Sentiment and Klopp’s Candid Remarks

The club claimed England's top flight in the previous campaign, yet numerous supporters who adore the manager would welcome the idea that he might come back one day. In a wide-ranging interview, he told the podcast host: “I stated I won't manage another team on English soil. Therefore should it be the Reds...absolutely. It's plausible.”

“I’m 58, so the choice could be mine down the line, it's uncertain. Do I have to make the decision today? In that case, I'd stay away. But thank God, I don’t have to do that. I'll simply watch what lies ahead.”

Conditions for a Comeback

Pressed on the specific conditions must arise to tempt his return to the dugout, he revealed he feels no immediate pull for a comeback. “I'm not entirely sure, I enjoy my current role,” he commented. “I don’t miss coaching; I don’t miss standing during downpours through long matches; I don’t miss going to press conferences repeatedly each week or doing numerous chats each week.

“No nostalgia for the changing area in that context, however, dining out alongside the squad enjoying conversation, that’s nice. With many victories thus frequently a very good mood at the club. Remaining with me is Van Dijk's laughter ringing in my ears as an instance.”

Praise for His Successor

He commended of the current boss, acknowledging his role for the adjustments that won the league last term. They've been defeated a string of losses in every contest following significant transfers, but he rubbished the suggestion it could be the start of a downward turn.

“[Liverpool have] a phenomenal forward such as Wirtz, critics will regret if you use the wrong words. A remarkable prospect. The French striker, incredible player. It’s a really good balanced team. Fans shouldn't fret over the club, things will improve.”

Heartfelt Words for the Late Forward

Klopp also spoke emotionally about the death of Jota, a player he signed during his tenure, and the effect on Liverpool. The forward died tragically in a car crash together with his sibling this past summer.

“Can you substitute a person like him? It goes beyond his on-field talent, it’s the guy he was. It's hard to picture the dressing room without him in it. I still cannot speak properly on this topic. A devastating blow for the entire squad as well. No one within the club will ever use it as an excuse but it is the situation. You walk in a dressing room where his spirit remains. Dealing with that emotionally is not easy. Unbearable.”
