Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window

An aircraft ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an official statement which stated that all passengers were secure.

"The jet touched down based on established safety measures and everyone onboard, including Pete Hegseth, is safe," an official representative commented in a social media post.

Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to the Belgian capital during the flight.

This event is not the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a top government figure has encountered equipment failures.

Months ago, a US Air Force plane transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was forced to head back to the US capital after suffering a mechanical problem.
